Develop a comprehensive investment thesis document to provide strategic support, including a detailed industry report, market analysis and competitive benchmarking. Additionally, creating an Excel model to outline management assessment, financial and operational performance, risks and opportunities and a revised 5-year business plan with business valuation.

Strategic Support and Investment Thesis

  • Created a document outlining key business components such as core propositions, market analysis, competitive advantages, financial projections and strategic approaches to provide comprehensive analysis and knowledge. 
  • Conducted a detailed market opportunity analysis, including factors driving projected growth and UAE’s unique positioning in the industry. Combined local expertise with sophisticated technology-enabled solutions to establish the client’s strategic position in the market.  
  • Executed an in-depth competitive landscape analysis to identify the client’s unique market position, focusing on a key demographic: clients in the Middle East seeking to switch their wealth managers. 
  • Developed strategies to target markets in MENA and beyond, emphasizing a  comprehensive technology infrastructurec and talent acquisition strategy focused primarily on bankers. 

Business Plan and Valuation

  • Developed a comprehensive 5-year business plan, including detailed annual and monthly financial forecasts (P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet) along with asset management and private wealth plans. 
  • Created an investment proposal to secure investor support, highlighting projected yearly valuations to attract investors and ensure the successful execution of the 5-year plan. 
  • Designed an operational timeline to initiate a 5-month project kick-off, including planning, auditing, and meetings to establish a strong risk, compliance, and governance framework. 

Financial Modelling & Strategy

  • Calculated DCF Valuation considering revenue, costs, valuation and other assumptions to establish implied equity percentages for the first round of funding and a 5-year exit evaluation. 
  • Calculated all monthly itemized costs and corporate finance forecasts to determine net revenue for the next 5 years. 
  • Utilized an Incentivization Model to calculate net contribution and employed the Gordon Growth Model to determine the terminal value.
